Life as an Apple Homekit user can be lonely. The overwhelming majority of smart home devices are built for Google Home and Alexa, though in the last few years some have integrated Matter, which acts as a bridge, and gives Apple users access too. Still, using products via Matter often impacts functionality, limiting you to the basics. It’s no fun.

Eve is a company that chose to be Apple-forward from the beginning. Sure, its products incorporate Matter, but that’s so Android, Google, and Alexa users can access the functions, not the other way around. These devices are Homekit native, so if you’re an Apple user, you get access to all their features.

Eve offers a broad bench of smart home devices, including indoor and outdoor cams, smart speakers, weather stations, home leak detectors and even hose controllers, and a bunch of its products are on deep discounts for Prime Day—up to 60% off. If you’re an Apple smart home enthusiast, it’s like Christmas in July.

One of the best aspects of Eve products is the Eve app. The clean UI is a nod to the Apple ecosystem, but it also provides stats I don’t often see in other smart home apps. It offers predictive energy and water consumption on devices, and all the data is easily exportable to a spreadsheet. Eve’s app will also allow you create automations that far outstrip what Apple Homekit can offer. The process is so smooth that even though I am primarily a Google Home user, I keep Eve several devices around and will haul my iPad out to control them.

In particular, I’m impressed by the current deal on Eve smart plugs (Eve Energy), which are 20% off. THey are a great companion to other Eve products, because you’ll be able to access the predictive data discussed above. For the same reason, the Eve Light Strip his my favorite thing for adding lighting under my kitchen shelves; it’s a whopping 63% off. The Eve Flare is another fun one—it’s a large, water-safe smart lamp. Use it in the garden, or anywhere in the home, and control the color of the light from your phone.

I’ve highlighted other Eve products I’ve tested or recommend considering in the product list above. It’s a great time to buy.
