This is a 1080p doorbell, which is still HD, and I remember being impressed by the quality of the color video when someone was within ten feet of the camera. I didn’t love overnight video or the limited range of vision, but for most people, this will work just fine. All of the Blink products are better when paired with a Sync Module 2, which is $29.99. The Sync Module means you can store your clips locally, and skip the Blink subscription fees.

There was a point in time I had a number of Blink Minis around my house, and for a fixed point camera, they work well. You have a finite view range based on where you put it, and it’s too large to hide, so it’s not a hidden camera. Still, it worked well, and had decent zoom. I have a lot to say about the Outdoor 4. It is a great camera, especially for $39.99. The sound quality and video quality are both great. My major complaint is that it’s battery-powered, and each time you change the batteries, you have to reposition the camera all over again. Also, the mount is not particularly miscreant-proof. But if you’re looking for outdoor, fixed-point cameras, these are a spectacular value.
