Tesla is now reportedly working with Apple to bring CarPlay to its vehicles. Both companies still need to resolve several technical hurdles before the integration can move forward. Apple Maps did not properly synchronise with Tesla’s native mapping software, creating a confusing experience for drivers. Apple rolled out a fix for this in iOS 26 and the latest version of Apple CarPlay. Tesla could be waiting for iOS 26 software adoption rates climb further before moving ahead with the launch.
