Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 update may introduce an automatic tool to block apps that send frequent ad notifications. Spotted by a tipster, the feature appears in Device Care as “Block apps with excessive ads” and can place spam-heavy apps into deep sleep. Users may choose between Basic and Intelligent blocking, with the latter analysing notifications on-device. Expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series, One UI 8.5 will likely enter its beta phase soon and bring several UI and usability improvements.
