My Favorite Robot Vacuum Is Over Half Off for Prime Day

I test and review a lot of robot vacuums and mops. Usually, they’re premium or flagship models, which makes the Switchbot K10+ an outlier, but it still impresses me every time I use it—so much that it is one of the few vacuums I’ve held onto to use myself. Right now, during Prime Day, it’s $179, which is over half off its regular price.

What makes this model so special? It’s tiny. About two-thirds the size of normal robot vacuums, it can get between and under spaces few other robots can. Its small size also makes it a bit nimbler, so it doesn’t get trapped in places the larger robot vacuums would. It also operates quietly, which is very welcome in smaller spaces.

Despite having about half the suction of premium robots, it works spectacularly across carpet, hardwood, tile, or rugs. The tower is petite, and is self-emptying. The Switchbot app is simple and easy to navigate, allowing you to create custom maps and schedules.

One caveat to note is that, technically, this model is a combo vacuum/mop. There’s a Swiffer-like attachment for the bottom, but I find this kind of useless. Ignore the mop entirely, and just treat this like the brilliant vacuum it is.

This model was updated to the K10+ Pro last year with some extra suction (from 2500Pa to 3000Pa), which is also fantastic. That newer model is on sale, too, for $254.99—but that’s only a 15% discount off its regular price. That’s still an amazing price for a competent robot vacuum, but the original K10+ is still a better deal. The Pro didn’t evolve enough to justify spending that much more.

Generally speaking, I think most people should get a combo vacuum and mop these days—I’ve gifted the K10+ to a number of people for their offices or smaller homes, and they’ve all raved about the machine. The current sale puts it below $200, and at that price, it is the best robot vacuum deal out there.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

• Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
