Taiwanese chip manufacturer MediaTek has developed its first chip using Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 3nm technology. Mass production of its Dimensity SoCs is expected to begin next year. TSMC’s 3nm process technology offers improved performance, power, and yield compared to its previous N5 process. MediaTek’s Dimensity SoCs are expected to power various devices starting in the second half of 2024.
