India’s UPI to now work in one more country

Sri Lanka has become the latest country to adopt India’s instant payments system, Unified Payments Interface, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe signed an agreement during the latter’s recent two-day visit to India. Other countries to take up UPI include Singapore, France, Nepal, Bhutan and the UAE.
