Apple’s decision to expand its manufacturing operations in India has sparked a debate on social media, particularly in China, with some questioning the quality of iPhones made in India. Chinese netizens have raised concerns about issues such as overheating and chipping in the made-in-India iPhone 15 models. They have also published tutorials on how to identify and return these models. However, Indian users and industry executives have strongly dismissed these claims and assert that locally made iPhone models are of the same quality as those manufactured elsewhere. Apple has been rapidly ramping up its manufacturing in India since 2017 and is now the second-largest assembler of iPhones globally.
