Gwyneth Paltrow on Hamas: ‘Where Are the Feminists?’

Feminists spent four-plus years speaking out during the Trump administration.

They similarly raged against sexual abusers like Harvey Weinstein at the dawn of the MeToo era.

And, in recent months, they’ve reassembled to decry attempts to limit abortion.

Yet when Hamas committed unspeakable assaults against women as part of the Oct. 7 massacre the very same feminists mostly went quiet.

When it comes to the fate of the many young women abducted by Hamas, the silence from some corners has been deafening.

Yes, there were exceptions. Debra Messing and Amy Schumer come to mind. Free Press founder Bari Weiss couldn’t shout any louder about the crimes against humanity.

Yet most major women’s rights groups couldn’t speak out against the atrocities. And, when a few tried, the results were … pathetic.

The silence proved so startling that even The Babylon Bee noticed.

So did Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Oscar-winning actress recently shared her grief over news that Hamas had executed six hostages. She didn’t stop there.

“To the families of each hostage whose life was stolen, I have thought of you every day for 11 months, but today I send you my heart,” wrote Paltrow, who has spoken out to raise awareness about the hostages’ plight over the past year. In a separate Instagram Stories post, the actor asked, “There are still 17 women being held by Hamas. Where are the feminists?” with the hashtag “#rapeisnotresistance.”

It’s a great question.

Hollywood feminists stood down when Tara Reade credibly accused Joe Biden of sexual assault. They did the same when 10 women lobbed sexual harassment charges against then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It’s happening again.

Now, despite films like “Screams Before Silence” detailing the sickening, sexual attacks on Israeli women most feminists have lost their voice.

Paltrow likely isn’t keen on calling them out, but apparently the silence has gone on too long.
