Reliance announces completion of Radisys-Mimosa acquisition, aims to boost Jio’s 5G rollout

Jio Platforms, owned by Reliance Industries, has completed its acquisition of US-based communications equipment manufacturer, Mimosa Networks, for $60m. The move is expected to provide Jio Platforms with Mimosa’s point-to-point and point-to-multipoint products as it strengthens its 5G and broadband services. Mimosa is to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jio Platforms’ Radisys Corporation; and its products will enable rapid deployment of multimillion-gigabit fixed wireless access networks, RIL said in a statement.
